Hello,
Let me tell you how this trip came about.  A few years ago, I was fortunate to take a bus trip with my sister to Ireland.  I was a fairly new spinner & dreamed I would have the opportunity to buy some roving or fleece.  I became very excited as we drove along & saw field after field of sheep.  I asked the tour director if there would be any place along the trip he thought I might be able to make my purchases.  (I had to explain to him what I was even talking about!)  Needless to say I came home empty handed. A guild friend had a similar experience a couple years latter with a different company.
After talking we both shared that we would love to visit Scotland but do not want to come home 'empty handed'.  So, after talking and dreaming for a few years, I did some research and found a company (CIE Tours International) that would customize a tour to our interests. I want to see the country side, she wants to see castles and we both want to see, touch and purchase sheep fleece.
We need to fill a bus and you have the opportunity to join us. The more that go the cheaper the trip for all of us.  So please help me spread the word.  Please share with any and all guilds and groups.  We are going to see many general tourist sights in the country, but have a few shopping stops for buying fleece,  roving and yarn.  We are coming from West Virginia, USA and will be using Washington DC as our gateway, but the land trip is available for any one. Hope to hear from you soon and meet/see you in September.     Alane
